Contemporary Craft asked me to design and craft a Commemorative Quilt Wall in their new Timmons Studios. I drew inspiration from the original building which housed the Hunter Saw Company, manufacturers of enormous circular saw blades, among other things. A recurring motif in my work is the Sawtooth quilt pattern which fit perfectly for this project. The final piece is designed to reflect different tiers of contributions made by individual donors and utilizes materials that Contemporary Craft seeks to honor in their organization: steel, paper, wood, and clay.
